On the 24th February 2021, Labour Women's Network Management Committee urgently wrote to David Evans, General Secretary of the Labour Party, Dame Margaret Beckett MP, Chair of the Labour Party National Executive Committee (NEC) and Wendy Nicholls, Chair of the Labour Party Organisation Sub-Committee of the NEC, about the removal of all three women shortlisted to be the Labour Party candidate for Mayor of Liverpool without adequate explanation.
